Wreath Gathering

At the beginning of December Erika Raxworthy and I hosted a magical day in the Parklands of Centennial Park. We brought together 30 guests to a fully set and styled table under the big old trees in the Park.

Here we ate summer fresh antipasto and salads prepared by Erika and myself before gorging on a dessert table that saw us dreaming of sugery stars that night!

The sun was shining, the warm breeze gently blowing, whilst we were eating, mingling, meeting and communicating whilst sipping on ice cold sparkling.

Following our delightful lunch I showed our guests the ins and outs of making their very own wreaths.

Then one by one they all individually created the most divine wreaths out of eucalyptus and native florals provided by us.

I have a real passion for hosting these events as it warms my soul see people enjoying coming together and uniting with the common passion of meeting and conversing in a beautiful setting.

Clafoutis baking at home

Gorgeous stylist and genreal all round lovely person, Erika Raxworthy headed home with me after a VERY early morning at the flower markets. So after playing with and photographing some beautiful foliage we took the opportunity to make cake...why wouldn't we really ...we both have the most insane sweet tooth! So I introduced her to Cherry Clafoutis - a traditional french cake that I grew up on as a child.

Spring Picnic in the Park

On a sublimely warm day on 29th September, I joined Jaclyn Carson from Blog Society in hosting a social media get together in Centennial Park. 45 lovely folk gathered beneath the big old trees by the Lilly Pond where they made new friends and talked creativity. I got my styling mojo on and helped by Jac we styled a food table with an ombre cake made by yours truly, drinks table and lastly a thank you bag table. It was the perfect afternoon of mingling and chatting and eating way too much food - everyone brought a plate and what an amazing selection of nibbles!!

Kinfolk Honey Harvest

Last weekend I attended the Kinfolk Honey Harvest gathering hosted by Studio Neon in the RAW photographic lab. Ever since I stumbled across Kinfolk Magazine I have been totally inspired by its concept of bringing together a group of like minded creative souls into a small intimate gathering with beautiful food and styling. What more perfect way to fill up the creative well than to meet, learn from, be inspired and quite simply communicate with others. My photos don't do the styling of Western Australia's Stacey Clark any justice but trust me it was a joy to be in such a space. I look forward to the next one. Did I say we also learnt lots of interesting 'stuff' surrounding bees & honey and ate the most divine food by Aaron Teece.
